Submission of 2nd payment request for 3.56 billion euros
The second payment request for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, was submitted on Friday, September 30 to the European Commission, signed by the Alternate Minister of Finance, Mr. Theodore Skylakakis.
Greece has successfully met the 25 milestones and targets on the grant sector of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, which are linked – based on agreement with EU – to the second payment request. At the same time, Greece met 3 milestones of the loan sector that were originally planned for the next payment request.
The total amount of the request is 3.56 billion euros (1.72 billion euros for grants and 1.84 billion euros for loans).
It must be noted that, including the pre-financing and the first payment, Greece has already disbursed 7.52 billion euros from the Recovery and Resilience Facility. Adding the second payment request, the total resources that will flow from RRF amount to 11.08 billion euros.
