Recovery and Resilience Facility Agency
The Recovery and Resilience Facility Agency is an independent Public Service under the Minister of Economy and Finance. It constitutes the lead national body tasked with the overall coordination and monitoring of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and serves as the responsible body for the efficient use of the EU recovery funds deriving from the Next Generation EU and its key instrument, the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
To fulfil its mandate, the Recovery and Resilience Facility Agency:
a. Supports and coordinates the preparation and submission of the National Recovery & Resilience Plan to the European Commission.
b. Performs active monitoring on the progress of the projects of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, on the basis of the milestones and targets set, for each component and/or reform and investment, and verifies their achievement and provides instructions and guidance to the competent bodies regarding procedures, implementation, simplification and acceleration.
c. Presents to the Minister of Economy and Finance and the competent collective government bodies, options to deal with problems that may arise during the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan projects
d. Presents to the Minister of Economy and Finance and to the competent collective government bodies proposals on revisions and amendments of the National Recovery & Resilience Plan.
e. Prepares reports on the implementation of the programs and projects of the Recovery & Resilience Fund and reports on the achievement of its milestones and objectives to the Minister of Economy and Finance, the competent collective government bodies and, the competent bodies of the European Union.
f. Facilitates communication on issues relating to the Recovery & Resilience Fund between all bodies involved in each program and project.
