{"id":36648,"date":"2025-05-02T17:10:16","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T14:10:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greece20.gov.gr\/?p=36648"},"modified":"2025-05-02T17:10:16","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T14:10:16","slug":"5th-payment-en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greece20.gov.gr\/en\/5th-payment-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Commission disburses \u20ac3.13 billion to Greece under the Recovery and Resilience Facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the Commission disbursed to Greece the <strong>5<sup>th<\/sup> payment for \u20ac3.13 billion<\/strong> (net of pre-financing), of which \u20ac1.35 billion in grants and \u20ac1.78 billion in loans, under the Recovery and Resilience Facility. As for all Member States, payments under the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/business-economy-euro\/economic-recovery\/recovery-and-resilience-facility_fr\">Recovery and Resilience Facility<\/a> are conditional on the effective implementation of the investments and reforms included in its recovery plan.<\/p>\n<p>On 20 December 2025, Greece submitted its fifth RRF payment request of \u20ac3.13 billion to the Commission covering <strong>28 milestones and 4 targets<\/strong>. These include improving the <strong>judicial system<\/strong>, developing<strong> affordable and more energy-efficient housing<\/strong>, strengthening the capacity of the <strong>electricity grid<\/strong>, and supporting <strong>reforestation<\/strong> and <strong>firefighting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On 19 March 2025, the Commission adopted a positive preliminary assessment of Greece&#8217;s payment request. The favourable opinion of the Council&#8217;s Economic and Financial Committee on the payment request paved the way for the adoption by the Commission of a final decision on the disbursement of funds.<\/p>\n<p><em>Greece&#8217;s comprehensive recovery and resilience plan will be financed with \u20ac<strong>18.2 billion<\/strong> in grants and \u20ac<strong>17.7 billion<\/strong> in loans. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>An <a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/business-economy-euro\/economic-recovery\/recovery-and-resilience-facility_en%23map\">interactive map<\/a> with examples of reforms and investments supported by the Recovery and Resilience Facility is available online. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>More information on\u00a0 Greece&#8217;<a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/business-economy-euro\/economic-recovery\/recovery-and-resilience-facility\/country-pages\/greeces-recovery-and-resilience-plan_en\">s recovery and resilience plan<\/a> is available online.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the Commission disbursed to Greece the 5th payment for \u20ac3.13 billion (net of pre-financing), of which \u20ac1.35 billion in grants and \u20ac1.78 billion in loans, under the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
