{"id":34099,"date":"2024-10-16T14:32:09","date_gmt":"2024-10-16T11:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greece20.gov.gr\/?p=34099"},"modified":"2024-10-16T14:47:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T11:47:30","slug":"commission-disburses-the-4th-payment-in-grants-to-greece-under-the-rrf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greece20.gov.gr\/en\/commission-disburses-the-4th-payment-in-grants-to-greece-under-the-rrf\/","title":{"rendered":"Commission disburses the 4th payment of \u20ac998.6 million in grants to Greece under the Recovery and Resilience Facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the Commission disbursed to Greece the 4th payment for <strong>\u20ac998.6 million<\/strong>\u00a0in grants (net of pre-financing) under t<a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/business-economy-euro\/economic-recovery\/recovery-and-resilience-facility_en\">he Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As for all Member States, payments made to Greece under the RRF are performance-based and depend on the implementation by Greece of the investments and reforms described in its\u00a0recovery and resilience plan.<\/p>\n<p>On 6 June 2024, Greece submitted to the Commission the fourth request for payment of \u20ac998.6 million in grants under the RRF covering\u00a0<strong>16 milestones<\/strong> and <strong>4\u00a0targets<\/strong>. These cover several\u00a0reforms\u00a0in areas such as improving the justice IT system and increasing electricity production capacity from renewable energy sources.\u00a0Investments\u00a0in reforestation, fire prevention and upgrading energy security are also included.<\/p>\n<p>On 4 September 2024, the Commission adopted a positive preliminary assessment of Greece&#8217;s request for payment.
